Shifts in Hydro Climatology of U.S. Croplands

چکیده

Changes in precipitation, temperature and water availability can significantly affect crop yields hence food security at local national scales. Despite the significant foreseen changes hydroclimatology of croplands across United States over last decades, there are still lacking consistent information on how future hydroclimatic conditions U.S. major may change response to climate change. This study investigates quantifies shifts five crops including cotton, corn, soybean, sorghum, wheat conterminous (CONUS). The results indicate that direction magnitude highly variable projections. However, average, have a higher impact sorghum respectively. Understanding be affected by help decision-makers planners for implementation expansion adaptive paths such as irrigation conservation plans.
